Erebus is a South African, Johannesburg based symphonic Black Death metal band that has been in existence for six years, with its current members joining two founding members two years ago. All members of  Erebus have studied some form of creative expression, be it the study of their instruments, sound engineering, production or art. This Study and insight into how music works, and how it should be performed has enabled Erebus to create an intense sound both live and in studio, bringing a powerful energy and proffesional show to every event they perform at.

Erebus draws inspiration from many forms of art; but predominatly from opening themselves up to an immense web of musical styles spanning from classical, jazz, latin and fusion to varied aspects of metal. This vast musical grounding allows Erebus to consistantly create material that is expanding and exploring new sonic possibilities while maintaining a distinct and refined sound.
